Twenty years ago, Zero Motorcycles started with an idea in a California garage: that electric power could fundamentally change the experience of riding a motorcycle, for the better.

A lot has changed since 2006. Batteries have grown more capable. Motors have become more powerful. Charging has become faster, software smarter, and the places you can ride electric have expanded far beyond what anyone imagined in those early days.

The idea, though, has stayed remarkably consistent: build motorcycles that are fast, fun, and elevate the riding experience.

To celebrate 20 years of pushing electric motorcycling forward, we created something special.

A MILESTONE YOU CAN RIDE

Only forty 20th Anniversary SR/F motorcycles will be available worldwide: Twenty across North America and twenty through select European dealers.

Each starts with the SR/F, one of the most important motorcycles in Zero's history, then adds a unique jet black and gold design treatment, premium carbon and billet components, anniversary detailing, and a collection of finishing touches chosen specifically for this edition.

The result is 20 years of Zero history built to be ridden.

AN ICON OF ELECTRIC PERFORMANCE

The SR/F represents the leading edge of Zero Motorcycles. Built around performance, control, and connection, it brings together the technology and riding experience that have defined our approach to electric motorcycling for two decades.

With 190Nm of torque and 83kW of power, the SR/F delivers an immediate electric response through a platform engineered to feel athletic, intuitive, and deeply connected to the rider. Its powertrain, Cypher III operating system, Bosch Motorcycle Stability Control, and performance-focused chassis work together to create a motorcycle that remains one of the strongest expressions of Zero's achievements in the category.

For our 20th anniversary, there was no better platform to celebrate how far we've come, and where we're going next.

DRESSED FOR THE OCCASION

Carbon fiber front and rear fenders bring a more purposeful edge to the SR/F's silhouette, while smoked turn signals, black headlight wings and a black aluminum flyscreen continue the darker treatment throughout the bike.

At the controls, black billet mirrors, bar ends and brake lever are joined by a billet lever protector and billet front and rear brake reservoir caps. A black brake pedal, black dust covers and matching black grab rails carry the treatment toward the rear of the motorcycle.

Swingarm bobbins and TechSpec protectors complete the package, with 20th Anniversary graphics and gold detailing setting the bike apart as something that will only exist once.

FROM A GARAGE TO A GLOBAL BRAND

Zero's story started in 2006, when NASA engineer Neal Saiki began developing an electric motorcycle in a garage near Santa Cruz, California. Early machines took the lightweight thinking of mountain bikes and motocross and combined it with a new kind of electric powertrain. From those first prototypes came the beginning of what would become Zero Motorcycles.

Over the years, the motorcycles got faster, went farther and reached entirely new categories of riders. The early Zero X explored what lightweight electric propulsion could do off-road. The Zero S brought electric riding onto the street. The SR pushed performance further. Then came motorcycles like the SR/F and SR/S, followed by the DSR/X adventure platform and, more recently, an expanding range that stretches from the X Line to the urban-focused LS1.

Different motorcycles. Different riders. The same pursuit.

Make electric power more capable and approachable, make the motorcycle more exciting, and keep finding new ways to elevate the experience from behind the bars.

20 YEARS FORWARD

An anniversary is an opportunity to look back, but we've never been particularly interested in standing still.

The 20th Anniversary SR/F celebrates the people, motorcycles, technology and countless miles that brought Zero here. More importantly, it represents the same mindset that's carried the company for two decades: keep building, keep experimenting and keep asking what a motorcycle can become when you're willing to rethink it from the ground up.

For the 40 riders who get to keep one, it's also something simpler.
